Don’t Make Cricket a Game of Friendship

Cricket - India v Pakistan 3rd ODI Delhi

We witnessed the success of Australian Cricket from many decades, Players who are not performing are dropped from team without any compromise on talent, even if it is Glen McGraw or Ricky Ponting…. Absolutely no compromise on merit and performance. This strategy brings fresh talent in team time by time, every new tour or series of Australian Team introduces new Heros to the Cricket world. We have to understand that there are only 11 players can play out of 180 Million population of Pakistan. Nobody is God-of-Cricket. Believe me there are dozens of Afridis, dozens of Shoaibs, dozens of Waseems, dozens of Saeeds in Pakistan, But due to not getting proper chance they remain un-reveled. The matter is only to find them, discover them and give them a chance to show their talent, this country “Pakistan” is full of talent. Don’t let it waste because of friendships and personal likings.

Experienced Pakistani players like Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Yousuf, Misbah ul Haq, Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal has good talent, now instead of thinking to play further with Pakistani Cricket Team, they should use their talent in offering training and tips to young players. This would be a better option for them to stay connected with cricket.

Please Don’t Make Cricket a Game of Friendship.
