ہم نے اپنا آج تمھارے کل کے لئےقربان کر دیا
اس قوم کے ہم رکھوالے تھے
مٹی پر مٹنے والے تھے
اس دیس کے ہم رکھوالے تھے
یہ آج بھی اپنا ہے اس کا
ہے کل بھی اس کے نام میرا
انہی گاؤں میں، شہروں میں رہ کر
گلیوں کوچوں کے پالے تھے

We were defenders of this nation
